...............Living the Good Life...............

Welcome to Louki Farm

We are a small privately owned CPH registered farm specializing in the breeding of Bull Terriers, goats, ducks, chickens, bantams and silkies for pets. All of our animals are free ranged for at least 5 hours a day and have varied and balanced diet.

We are now based in Norfolk where we have a 4 acre farm

Meet  the goat's

We have 12 goats, George and Geoffrey are our breeding males with Gandalf our young untested boy. We have Gwendolyn (the herd leader), Gladys, Geraldine, Gisele, Gideon, Gabriel, Gerty, Ghost, Gizmo and Gilbert. You will never want to meet a more friendly and affectionate creature. They're playful, inquisitive and for ever hungry. We had our first kids born 2020 and have kept them all to add to the herd. We produce new kids each year some of which we sell as pets.

We, perhaps spoil them a little as their daily feed consists of cabbage, carrots, apple, grapes, bananas,  sweet corn, plums and goat mix. They have treats of cereals,  likit hanging balls and love a cracker and a slice of brown bread.

Now to meet the girls

Mavis (black) is the the only remaining original girl, our flock has expanded to over 50 so to many to list but each one is named. We have a Fugly, a Big Bob, Ron & Reg, Jerry Lee and Jerry jnr, Babs, Babe, Mildred and Mabel to name but a few

Next up the  Ducks

Daffy our resident stud and along with Doris are our longest members of Louki Farm. We have 11 runners in total

Daffy always has his eyes open for any danger and will soon round up his girls and usher them to safety should any appear. He has something of an obsession with toes and will nip yours as soon as you enter his turf.

Update December 2022 -Mr Fox managed to break in to Daffy and his girls run and although he put up a valiant defence the fox killed every single duck and didn't bother to take one for food. Nature is a fickle mistress.

We've now hatched 11 more ducklings, a mixed bunch of diffent breeds

And finally the Bantams, Geese and Turkeys

We have been breeding and selling hatching eggs for some time now. We don't really try and produce prue breeds but we like mixing colours and styles to see what hatches. We have frizzle, white legbars, pekins and marlens. We have 3 Toulouse geese, Abigail, Amelia and Waldo, who will hopefully lay some eggs soon and 3 turkeys Burke and Hare and our hen Boudicca

What the future holds

We achieved our dream and have moved to a beautiful 4 acre small holding in Norfolk, we have 2 polytunnels to ensure we have an all year supply of veg for the animals (and us), a gravel paddock and a grass paddock and a 4 block stable

1) Start a no slaughter breeding program for the goats

(completed 2021and sold our first goats in February)

2) Increase our flock but concentrate on the fancy breeds.

3) Start producing Louki farm honey (completed 2020)

4) Purchase Emus, Dwarf donkey, Alapaca and Peacocks.

5) Unfortunately when some animals, especially chickens are past their economic breeding life they are no longer wanted. Part of our land will be used as a retirement home for ex layers and unwanted/unloved ex pets so they can live out their twlight years in a happy and safe place.

Watch this space!
